Every library entry is cited, versioned, and approved by a steward before answers or agents rely on it.
Business context library
The Business context library (/platform/context-graph?view=library) stores what people have approved about your business so search answers and agents do not guess. Every entry is cited, versioned, and approved before it is served.
Four entry kinds
| Kind | What it holds | How it is used |
|---|---|---|
Business terms (term) | Term name, English and Hebrew aliases (including Hebrew prefixed forms), definition, scope, and cited passages | Passed to answers as verified definitions ([DP1]) and used to widen lexical search queries |
Verified answers (verified_answer) | Canonical question, paraphrases, approved answer with inline [1], [2] markers, optional answer rule, vetted rule template, or query recipe | Served directly when a question matches (score >= 0.7 and all guards and citations hold) or suggested alongside a fresh answer |
Instructions (instruction) | Short guidance on a topic and optional trigger phrases, backed by cited passages | Included as verified guidance in matching answers and context packs |
Query templates (query_template) | Read-only parameterized SELECT query bound to one PostgreSQL connection, with row (1–1,000) and time (1–30 s) limits and a required owner | Run from the library, Explore @sql, verified-answer recipes, or agent run_query_template after a passing test at approval |
Citations, approval, and stewards
- Every entry requires citations: Terms, verified answers, and instructions need at least one cited passage from a readable document before approval. Verified answers also require inline
[n]markers. Query templates require an owner and a passing read-only execution test against the current connection revision. - Roles and stewards:
- Viewers (
library:read) read served entries and use Try a question. - Editors (
library:edit) create drafts and propose changes to served entries. - Admins, owners, and editors named as library stewards (
library:approve) approve, roll back, and retire entries using a reason chip or typed reason.
- Viewers (
- Immutable versions: Every edit, approval, rollback, retirement, or source state change appends an immutable version (
context_library_versions). History, Compare, and Roll back let stewards inspect diffs and restore earlier versions.
When cited documents or clauses change
Each time a citation is displayed or used in an answer, Bundata re-checks the document version, character span, and SHA-256 text fingerprint:
- Newer document version or amended clause: The entry moves to needs review with a Source changed flag. Definitions are still served with a warning; verified answers are suggested rather than served automatically until a steward clicks Re-anchor citations and approves the updated version. Recorded clause amendments from addenda (
lib/amendments) also flag affected entries unless the entry already cites the amending document. - Deleted, expired, or unreadable document: The entry moves to needs review and is suspended (not served to viewers, answers, or agents) until its citations are repaired and re-approved.
Approved library in answers and Organization memory
In Settings → Answer verification → Approved library in answers (/platform/settings?tab=answers), admins control two switches (both on by default):
- Use approved definitions and instructions: Matching definitions (
[DP1]) and instructions are supplied to synthesis, and when two approved definitions of the same term match, the answer offers Use this definition for each. - Serve matching verified answers: Serves the approved answer directly without a model call when the match threshold (
0.7), question-form/number/negation guards, and live source checks all pass.
In the Answer workspace (Collection Ask and Vector Search chat), the Organization memory button lists served entries for the collection, Asked before surfaces matching verified answers while typing (8+ characters, lexical only), and Suggest for organization memory lets members send a cited answer or selected text to stewards’ review.
