Tune a policy and compare

Hold the collection, the document scope, and the question still. Change one policy setting. Do not call the result a better answer.

Configure

1. Open the collection Search tab.
2. Open the Context Policy lab. The form starts as Unsaved default policy.
3. Leave embeddings alone. The lab says they stay fixed.
4. Set Search results topK to 10 for a Search-only check. That does not change Answer results topK.
5. For an Answer check, set Answer results topK to 10 and leave the question fixed.
6. Save policy if you need the name again. Saving does not rewrite an answer you already have, and this guide does not claim the id alone reloads the snapshot from the server.

Compare

1. Turn Compare mode on.
2. Copy Chat A settings to Chat B.
3. On Chat B only, set Temperature to 0.8.
4. Run each side. Stop a side that you do not need.
5. Read text differences and citations separately.

Two illustrations

These are not presets. First: mini queries off, so mini-query count is ignored and the run uses the question alone. Second: evidence extraction off, so primary and supplementary limits are ignored.
