Connect Claude Desktop

Add a custom connector for the docs tools. Setup time is about 10 minutes when the endpoint is running.

Purpose

Claude can call the two read-only tools. Evidence level: the flow was checked against Anthropic’s custom connector article for remote MCP (a connector name plus the remote URL in the product UI). Claude Desktop was not launched here. Do not assume a mcpServers block in a local JSON file is the supported path.

Prerequisites

Claude Desktop that offers custom connectors. The docs endpoint from your admin. No Bundata login.

Sample

After connect, ask: Search the Bundata docs for upload-url and quote the confirm status. The tool result should include processing and a canonical URL. You still open that URL.

Steps

1. In Claude Desktop, open the connectors or integrations surface described in the current help article, not a guessed file path.
2. Add a custom connector. Name it Bundata docs. Paste only the remote MCP URL you were given.
3. Reload or enable the connector. Confirm list_doc_sections and search_docs.
4. Run the sample question in English, then ask the same in Japanese: アップロードの確定状態は何ですか?
5. Remove the connector from that same UI. Do not delete unrelated connectors.

Recovery

If the connector UI has moved, follow the current help article rather than this page’s clicks. A connection error means the endpoint is down or not deployed. Do not paste a session cookie to “make it work.”

Limits

Source-checked against the remote-connector article. Not a recorded Claude session. The assistant’s model answers are not the tool result. Read the tool payload.

Check

Success: the tool payload lists the upload page. Failure: the connector is removed cleanly and other connectors remain.
